Melasma & Cosmelan

This lady presented with melasma which started a few months after she started taking oral contraceptives and continued to get worse especially with sun exposure. She elected to use Cosmelan. The after photo was taken 2 months after the initial therapy.

These photos are from a lady with fairly severe melasma. She would not leave her house without makeup. She was initially treated with the Cosmelan mask followed by tapering application of Cosmelan. The photos were before treatment, 2 weeks into treatment and 6 weeks into treatment. The redness is typical and usually diminishes over the first few months.
