We are offering medically supervised plans that aid in weight management. You will start off with a personal consultation with Dr. Byrd which includes a complete metabolic and thyroid lab analysis. You will receive recommendations for exercise and diet based off of food you already buy from your regular grocery store. Regular visits to our center will help keep you on track to get you to your ideal weight.

The HCG Diet

The HCG* weight loss protocol consists of a very low calorie diet accompanied by treatments of injected HCG. The average HCG dieter experiences rapid weight loss averaging 1 to 3 pounds per day, depending on the amount of needed weight loss without losing muscle mass. This diet lasts for a maximum of 40 days. HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone present in both men and women, but which is produced in great amounts in pregnant females. During pregnancy, the substance almost completely controls the woman's metabolic functions. In non-pregnant men and women, research suggests HCG similarly increases the metabolism similar to a pregnant female. Thousands of calories in stored fat are released, and are used by the body or expelled. To keep the fat cells from immediately taking in more fat, the very low calorie diet (VLCD) is necessary and personal care products such as lotion are prohibited.

HCG diet shots cause your hypothalamus to mobilize the fat out of the fat storage locations so that it’s available for use. While you are only consuming 500 calories, your hypothalamus is continually releasing the fat stored in your body. Because of this, your body is actually operating on thousands of calories a day. The result is your body using thousands of calories of fat from your body each day; the reason HCG dieters lose 1 to 2 pounds of fat or more per day. Under normal circumstances a 500 calorie diet is almost impossible, but through the administration of HCG it becomes possible. The HCG treatment helps to suppresses feelings of hunger so you will be able to continue your daily activities without feeling weak or tired and without feeling depressed.

The Lipo B Diet

We are also offering another medically supervised plan that uses lipotropic injections that include a combination of lipotropic agents, important amino acids and vitamins to help you lose weight more quickly and effectively. This diet plan lasts up to 3 months.

Lipo B injections include:

• Methionine is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids and is important in many body functions. It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body. Methionine works as an antioxidant through conversion to L-cysteine to help neutralize toxins.
   

• Choline prevents fats from accumulating the in the liver and facilitates the movement of fats into the cells.
   

• Inositol aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.
   

• Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is involved in more bodily functions than almost any other single nutrient. It is necessary for the production of hydrochloric acid and the absorption of fats and protein. Pyridoxine also aids in maintaining sodium and potassium balance, hence is beneficial in controlling water retention.
   

• Dexpanthenol (Vitamin B5) plays a vital role in metabolism by breaking down fats and carbohydrates for energy. It is also important in maintaining a healthy digestive tract and it helps the body use the other vitamins more effectively.
   

• Hydroxocobolamin (Vitamin B12) is needed for normal fatty acid and DNA synthesis. It is essential for maintaining the integrity of the nervous system and the synthesis of molecules involved in the production of energy.

The Weight Loss Supplements in the plan include:

Lipo- BC: Lipotropic nutrients are compounds that promote the flow of fat and bile to and from the liver. In essence, they produce a “decongesting’ effect on the liver and promote improved liver function and fat metabolism. By definition, a lipotropic substance decreases the deposit, or speeds up the removal, of fat within the liver. Biotin, a water-soluble B-complex vitamin assists in the making of fatty acids and in the oxidation of fatty acids and carbohydrates. Choline prevents fats from accumulating the in the liver and facilitates the movement of fats into the cells. Inositol aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol.
