Xeomin is latest injectable botulinium type A injectable to join Botox and Dysport in the temporary improvement of forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Xeomin is FDA approved and has been used in Europe since 2008.

Unlike BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport, Xeomin contains no binding proteins. This may mean there is less risk of the body developing antibodies against Xeomin. Another benefit Xeomin offers over BOTOX or Dysport is that it needs no refrigeration until opening.

Typically it takes 3 to 4 days for botulinium toxins to begin showing results with maximum relaxation seen after 1 to 2 weeks. The benefit of the injectables lasts an average of 4 months. Once it wears off, the wrinkles will return, but they are not worse.
