Permanent cosmetics, also known as micro-pigmentation, is the process of inserting pigment just under the skin. This process is very similar to traditional tattooing, and can be used in lieu of traditional cosmetic make-up to enhance facial features or camouflage skin imperfections or scars. Areas of treatment include eyebrows, lips, and eyelashes. In addition this micro pigmentation is used to reconstruct the nipple/areola area of the breast. Micro-pigmentation is typically used by women who have trouble applying make up, or those who just want to save time and money.
